Through ‘The Nature of Architecture’ I look to explore the relationship between nature and the city, highlighting new trends of using exotic species of flora to meticulously dress locations and referring to ideas of commodification of nature and nature as part of the idolised dream that is being sold.
I further look to photograph nature within the glass architectural environment of the city in ways that aim to investigate how these two very different environments interlink; the explicitly manufactured structures of the city’s architecture and the very natural environments of plants and gardens.
Through the images I further want to highlight how nature is used within these seemingly overdesigned urban spaces at designated locations to rest the mind from the busy commercial clockwork of city life.
